Use Web-based Administration at: https://youserver:4040/admin
Tip: you can use shorter http://youserver/admin and you will be automatically redirected to correct url.

Old Administration Console is discontinued since Connect 7.1

thanks for help, there is no console that can be used to connect 7.0 or 7.1?, as I was also more practical and is more agile / fast.

I make another query:
I had the Kerio 6.0 and upgrade to version 6.7.3 and I started to have problems with spam (I detected as spam mails sent within the same domain), to fix I had to put a rule saying that you give it does not filter the same domain, but I am not convinced.
Now I have wanted to do the upgrade to 7.1, do you recommend?
On the other hand anyone has any recommendations or good tutorial on how to configure the anti spam option (all options) because I can not find the exact spot and can not find info on any side

thanks

You can download the Admin Console for 7.1. On the Download Page, go to

Legacy Downloads

Select "Kerio Connect" and "7.1.0"

Select "Kerio Connect Administration Console" for the appropriate OS.

It is a separate download but fully functional.

Classical Administration Console is still available, but there are not all new features and in further versions will not be available at all. You should, at least, try it, because in future it will be the only way ...

There are no significant differences between anti-spam features in 6.7 and 7.1. If you have problems with spam detection you should look into emails not-detected as spam and check emails headers. You will see something like this:

X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=6.0 required=5.0 tests=BAYES_40: -0.276,SUSPICIOUS_RECIPS: 2.912,URIBL_BLACK: 1.955, URIBL_WS_SURBL: 1.5,TOTAL_SCORE: 6.091,autolearn=no
X-Spam-Flag: YES
X-Spam-Level: ******

And after that you can better configure anti-spam options.

The web administration console is a real "step back" in Kerio's Administration efficiency. Stand Alone COnsole is faster to work with, and you have no problem to deal with long lists of users, queued mails and so on, because there is no "paging" at all. Havign to use the web console, is a real pain in the ass. I strongly encourage Kerio to review the matter.

I agree. The web admin is a huge piece of garbage. It's many step backwards in several ways. Even simple things like copy and paste from a log is a royal pain. The worst part is it was released before it was ready, and they discontinued the stand alone at the same time forcing people to use the broken web admin.

They should drop the full web admin, keep the lite version for those who need it, and continue updating the Stand Alone Admin Console.

I appreciate Kerio's focus on web administrator although it can be a bit slow at times. I use web administrator for almost all my other services, CrashPlan, PGP, Promise RAID's, SonicWALL's.... It just makes sense to support 3 browsers vs 3 complete platforms.

Time will tell but i believe it will get better in the next few releases.

The KC Webadmin is better than the Webadmin from some other vendors, but I still find the Console better. The Console for 7.1 is a separate download and a bit hidden on the Kerio site, but it has - as far as I can see - all the functionality, so I still use it.

My to concerns with the Webadmin are:

  • Sorting and sizing of columns doesn't stick (gets lost after ending a session)
  • It fills up my error log with log decoding errors
  • Uploading of logos not possible

We're still using 7.0.0 but I've taken a look at web admin and I'm not exactly impressed. It does seem slower to do certain tasks and we appear to be missing minor items such as the 'Last login' and 'Forwarding' info from the users screen. But perhaps this is unimportant considering any changes to the view are lost when you log out and you end up with the Kerio default view.

I do find it odd what "features" seem to appear in new software releases these days (not just Kerio) but when I see that users are voting for things like instant messaging in Kerio over SMTP greylisting, HTML footers, scheduled OOO et al I guess you get what you deserve. Rant over!

Give it a chance and check the web administration in Kerio Connect 7.1.0. It's more complex than 7.0.x.

Fair point. I'll reserve full judgement until I see 7.1.0.

However, based on the comments of others here and in the other thread here http://forums.kerio.com/index.php?t=msg&th=17883&sta rt=0&S=c21089790934a8055bbd0c0b4efa0aef am I going to swayed and impressed? Really?

The point I'm trying to make is from the views shown in these threads admins seem happy with the stand alone console, but if they're like me, may be unhappy with other aspects of the product.

Every admin will have a differing view of what is important to them - one admin may really want SMTP greylisting another may never use that but really wants to see HTML footers.

So when a new release removes something that was useful and replaces it with something that appears less so when you have users shouting for missing features, aren't Kerio shooting themselves in the foot?

The original console is much better than the web admin. We tried it and hate it.

Another vote for keeping the old admin console... the new web based one is crap.
