Is it possible to downgrade from Kerio Connect 7.1 to Kerio Connect 7.02 (latest patch) just by using the 7.02 installer and installing over the extisting 7.1?

Since the update, we experience slow calendar syncings, slow logins, mailserver process suddenly climbs up to 160% cpu usage etc.

using PM G5 with 10.5.8. Before the update, everything went fine.

We've had the same experience with 7.1: slow logins on WebMail, slow calendar sync, high CPU. This is on a quad core Apple Xserve Xeon running 10.4 Server with 4GB RAM, 15k SAS drives that never struggled before.

We've discovered that certain calendar events (all invites) are duplicating in the thousands on the server. Clients have far fewer events than the user's Calendar folder in the Kerio store, so it seems like the duplication is occurring on the server. Deleting the original invite stops the duplication for that user.

We'll be reverting to 7.0.2 tonight.
Does anyone know if KOFF reverts to 7.0.2 automatically, or will we need to uninstall the 7.1 Outlook Connector first?

Exactly the same behaviour: we had one users calendar which had suddenly 30.000 !!! event entries, but the same events have duplicated themselves a hundred times. I moved them manually yesterday night.

Could you please provide feedback here in the forum about the downgrade, how you made it and if you had any problems during the downgrade?

So for in this thread this problem has been reported happening on Mac servers. Is it happening to anyone on a Windows server?

I am running Kerio on a Windows 2003 server and had hoped to upgrade from 6.7.3 patch 1 in about a month but will delay if this is a widespread problem.

Well, we ended up staying with 7.1 for now. If you downgrade, be aware that you'll need to create new profiles for all Outlook clients with the Offline Connector!
KOFF downgrades itself automatically, but the profile data is incompatible with 7.0.2 and needs to be rebuilt. We'll need to be better prepared to handle all our Outlook folks before we go the downgrade route, hopefully Kerio has a patch soon.

The server downgrade is simple, stop the server (I think it's best to stop all the individual processes from the Kerio Admin first) then just run the 7.0.2 Patch1 installer right on top of 7.1. After doing this, we saw CPU levels behave normally and duplication appeared to have stopped. (of course, this is at night with far fewer clients connected.)

We used a script on the server to quickly to count the number of items in each user's calendar folder, then run it again a few minutes later to see if the numbers were climbing rapidly.

Now we are back on 7.1, and still seeing high CPU and calendar duplication. We've managed to stop the duplication for some accounts by finding and deleting all of the occurrences of a duplicating event in WebMail. Of the dozen or so accounts with duplication, all of them have delegates and ActiveSync devices.

The interesting thing here is, the account with the duplicating events is not a real user. Its some kind of dummy user with a calendar delegated to the company stuff.

Each employee has subscribed to this calendar and has editor rights on the calendar. We use this construction to have a calendar, everybody can see. The employees are advised to invite this dummy user, so everybody can see the business appointments from each other. The dummy email client is a combination of Apple Mail and iCal, automatically accepting invitations.

The employees themselves use Entourage 2008. The Kerio support now states, it could be a corrupted database integrity of one of the users and his Entourage, causing these duplicates.

I will verify this tomorrow by reconfiguring the clients Entourages, because it could be narrowed down to three clients: The duplicating events are all made by these three clients.

So I will reconfigure client per client and see, whats happening.

Are those three clients running the recently released Entourage 12.2.6?
We're beginning to suspect it as the culprit.

We've witnessed active calendar duplication when either delegates or users running 12.2.6 have open connections to the affected calendar.

When Entourage is set to offline, or delegates set to read-only, the duplication stops.

Once we clear all the dupes we'll clear the Entourage calendar caches and try reconnecting.

Yes, all clients in the company are running the 12.2.6.

If this will be the culprit, we have lots of work to do: Re-installing Office 2008 from scratch! Or do you know a downgrade path? Me not

We've got our duplication under control for now. It seems once dupes have all been removed and Entourage calendar caches cleared, Entourage can reconnect without further duplication.

It's hard to pinpoint the cause here with so many variables, but the dupes all seem to be calendar invites that are updates to indefinitely recurring events.
For example, a user has a conference call every Monday that was added to their calendar via a meeting invite. This week's call is cancelled, so an updated meeting invite goes out. This invite has a start and stop date of Monday, but a recurrence of indefinite. Something misinterprets this, and starts adding the same updated event on Monday over and over.

Anyway, haven't confirmed that this is only happening with Entourage 12.2.6 yet.
It may be possible to overwrite Office 2008 12.2.6 with 12.2.5 via a custom package that could be pushed out over Apple Remote Desktop.

Today we found examples of actively duplicating events for two users without delegates- both using Entourage versions older than 12.2.6, so it looks to be a Kerio 7.1.0 issue.
The duplicating events were similar to the others, calendar invites that were updates to recurring events.
I've submitted a ticket and several examples of duplicating events to Kerio support.

Just an FYI, we are running Ubuntu 8.04 LTS with Kerio Connect 7.1. The only problem we experience is sometimes the new Sophos av engine gets hung and has to be restarted. Other than that, performance has increased, the connector opens faster, and we never get about 5% processor, with 350 users.

Sophos is going to resolve this issue in some next update of the anti-virus engine.

Ok good to know. Is that update inline, or will it require an updated Kerio Connect package? Any workaround for now?

I'm experiencing the same issues after upgrading to 7.1.0. Some accounts spawning duplicate events. Seems to be on the server, itself. The events spawn without the invitor or invitee being connected. One calendar currently has over 100000 duplicate items.

This server is on Mac 10.5.8.

There's also issues with Mail.app not recognizing messages in the INBOX, where webmail and Entourage see the entire inbox.

I hope downgrading resolves this. 7.1, from what I'm seeing, needs a recall.
