I have submitted a support ticket but thought I'd ask here see what others are seeing.

Just updated to new version with the sophos engine and we have a problem with all excel files that have a password.

By default it says failed to scan as it is encrypted and knocks it back. I know there is an option to allow through with warning attached but it's not ideal and pushed through 2 files.

under the mcafee engine this never used to happen and it scanned the file and passed it through. Tried this as zipped, unzipped, mac PC new and old file versions.

Any ideas or confirmation of the issue.

No problem. The topic has been moved to the correct forum.

I would recommend using a secondary anti-virus. If the secondary anti-virus marks the file as clean then it is delivered with no warning. By default, Sophos detects encrypted files and archives. McAfee didn't have such feature and therefore ignored all these files.
