Attempt (5x)
Kerio Connect 7.1 running on Centos

New Windows Server

Windows 2008 R2 -- New Install
Create User: BSEadmin
Add BSEadmin to administrators group
Install Blackberry Connect -- Test OK
Install AD ( Did not run DCpromo.exe)
Tested Blackberry Connect -- Test OK
INSTALL BESX
Completes thru the Database Creation
Install Crashes with a message APPCRASH in setup.exe

Kerio Connect 7.1 running on Centos

Install Blackberry Connect -- Test OK
Install AD ( Run DCpromo.exe with defaults)
Test Blackberry Connect -- Fails Mapi errors)
INSTALL BESX
Completes Install

But now Blackbery Connect Fails with Mapi errors


What am I doing wrong

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. I've tried to install it on 4 different servers 2-2003 and 2-2008 with the same problems. If you read further in the forums you can see there seems to be a *issing battle as to how it is exactly installed and the verbiage used.

And the great part is Kerio is pointing the finger at BES and a call to RIM gets you a ("Kerio" what is that? Not on our supported list)

Kerio Support gave me this info..

This applies only to 2008 R2 with Kerio Connect on another server
Your mileage may vary

1) Fresh install of 2008 R2
2) Install AD
3) Add the local domain of your choice
4) Install Blackberry Connector
5) Install BESX

It installs this way with no errors.
