Hello everybody!!!

we are using a Kerio Connect license for one of our customers with 340 users. They are using the software for many months and everything is working great. The customer is happy to have dumped their previous e-mail server Smile

We have recently installed BES Express and the BB Connector. We followed the KC manual directions.
Everything is working: calendar, notes and todos are synced fine in both directions. E-mail is syncing as well but it is very slow. Mails are delivered to users, they can read it on the Kerio Webmail istantly but the BB device is updated very slowly. Sometimes e-mail is delivered to BB 15 or 20 minutes after it is delivered to Kerio Webmail.

Anything is being lost. The only problem is the e-mail random sync delay on the BBs.

I have checked the BES log and there is no problem on the BB/RIM network. As soon as the BES Express sends the e-mail to the device, the smartphone receives it. So the transfer between BES Express and the BB device is realtime.

Maybe our Kerio Blackberry Connector is not notifying BES Express that a new message is available. It seems that e-mails are delivered to the smartphone only because of the BES polling activity. BES Express performs a poll every 15/20 minutes if it do not receive any e-mail notification from the mail server.

Other kind of activities are performed istantly by the connector: calendar, notes, mail status, etc are updated immediatly on devices. It is only a mail problem.

Do you have any suggestion in order to solve my problem? Have you experienced anything similar?

We're experiencing the same thing with the latest and greatest KC 7.1.1 - would really appreciate a fix for this!

KC 7.1.1 on Mac OS X 10.6.4 Server
BESx 5.0.2 on Windows 2003

Hi!

To mitigate the problem you can close the e-mail software or put it offline. When the user is not logged to the e-amil client, mails are pushed instantly to the BB.

We discovered this because in night time, when nobody is in office, BBs are updated very fast and e-mails are delivered at same time to BBs and iPads with ActiveSync.

You are right, Kerio Connect is a great software. I am using it for years and I love it. I am sure that a solution will be available soon.
