I upgraded our server to 10.6 and Connect 7.1.0p1 over the weekend and now I'm seeing the following errors in the error log:
Quote:
[07/Sep/2010 04:37:27] mail_avir.cpp: Antivirus check of mail from <jbobier@domain.org> to <scr<_at_>domain-home.com> failed: Scanning failed - ClamD returns error: Can't create temporary directory
[07/Sep/2010 12:29:00] mail_avir.cpp: Antivirus check of mail from <mailer@domain.com> to <jwf<_at_>domain-home.com> failed: Scanning failed - ClamD returns error: Can't create temporary directory
[07/Sep/2010 13:29:58] mail_avir.cpp: Antivirus check of mail from <insights@info. domain.com> to <peb<_at_>domain-home.com> failed: Scanning failed - ClamD returns error: Can't create temporary directory
[08/Sep/2010 02:49:28] mail_avir.cpp: Antivirus check of mail from <marissa@domain.info> to <ksk<_at_>domain-home.com> failed: Scanning failed - ClamD returns error: Can't create temporary directory

I'd update ClamXav, but that updates the engine to 0.96.3 and I can't find anything anywhere to confirm that 7.1p1 will work with the updated ClamAV engine.

So, two questions:

1. Why am I seeing the errors? It doesn't appear all attachments are generating the error.
2. Can I safely update to ClamXav 2.0.6 with engine 0.96.3 and still have Kerio work with it?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Jon

looks like a permissions error to me. afair clam needs specific temp folders to be created and owned by clam:clam, otherwise it will not work. It's a security measure.
