When I install the BlackBerry Desktop Software (v.6) on my PC I cannot synchronize with my contacts and calendar in Outlook.
I'm using Kerio Connect Mailserver 7.1 with Kerio Offline Connector.

Does anyone knows a workaround?

I also had this, very stupid.
The Blackberry desktop software unfortunately does not use regular MAPI, but directly accesses the pst file (!). Consequently, Blackberry Desktop cannot see anything that is not in a "physical" pst file. Its even worse, it will not work if the physical pst file is not the primary ada store of the _default_ outlook profile.

My temporary 1-time workaround was to setup a local pst file in outlook, and copy all mail/contacts/calendar data from kerio mailbox into the local pst file, and let Blackberry Desktop "sync" with that stupid pst file. See above, it must also be the default profile otherwise BB Desktop will not sync the pst file.

Stupid.

Do you use the Blackberry Enterprise Server or the Blackberry Internet Service to get your mails on the Blackberry?

Are you asking _me_?
If yes: On that device, it was BIS, but we are in the process of moving to BESX (if that monster would only start to work properly with KC - sigh...).

Yes, I was asking you. If you use BES, calendar and contacts are synced over the air (3G or WiFi), so you cannot sync via USB.

That is implemented in BES and it has nothing to do with Kerio. With Exchange, you would have the same behaviour.

freakinvibe,
thanks - I do know that.
Since my BESX is still not working properly, I had wanted to provide an intermediate solution to my customer for at least getting his contacts on the device, by synching via Desktop.

Anyone have another way to sync Blackberry & Outlook without using this "one-time" export to PST fix? My client has a single BB user that would like to sync Address Book, Calendar, etc and they don't have BEXS installed.

Have you tried notifySync or AstraSync?
I have not used it myself, but these seem to be the ideal solution if you have just one or two Blackberry devices.
(If you already have other mobile devices using Activesync, then you are already done with the necessary firewall-rule.)

I have tried both - yuck! I just want to use Blackberry Desktop to do an occasional sync.
