I always start this thread in the beta forums. Will Workspace support Open Directory, and if not "Why not?"

Whoa, I missed that. I installed it on a Windows VM and only see Active Directory. Is OD "coming soon"?

Is it not there in the Win version of the Directory Services section of the Admin interface as per p13 of the Step-by-step downloadable guide?

It is not there in the Admin window on a Windows install.

I tried installing Workspace inside a Snow Leopard Server VM running on Fusion and it cannot install as the processor type is "Unknown" This is more of a VMWare problem, but still annoying.

Yes, I have just completed the same installation, and find also that the OD setup option as described in the manual is not there in the config options.

Hello,

the Open Directory support is not present in the current public beta. The feature has been unfinished and we removed it before releasing the public beta. The mention in the manual is a mistake.

We plan to release version 1.0 with only Active Directory support. But we are already aware of the fact that adding Open Directory is going to be one of the top feature requests.

OD/Mac Server is most essential as there is no comparable document management system for (mostly) Mac networks available. Several of my customers do not want to deploy Win/Linux Servers (neither physical or virtual) besides an already running Mac OS X Server.

Though running Mac OS X 10.6. Server as OD and AD Kerio Workspace can't connect to LDAP. Any ideas?

Open Directory support is very important to us as well. We do not use Active Directory, only Open Directory!!!!

Same here. I can't use this product until the OD is supported. I can't imagine adding my 400 employees locally.
I hope you'll find a way to add this feature rapidly.
