Hi,

I'm having trouble in getting sun java6-jre to install on ubuntu 10.04.

Could openjdk-6 be used instead?

regards
Joseph

Hello,

what is the trouble with Sun JRE? It should be a stable package easy to install.

We never tested with OpenJDK and such a setup won't be supported. But it's possible it will work.

well, this is more on ubuntu.

Kept on getting " E: Couldn't find package sun-java6-jre despite I had commentted out the '#' in the sources.list where the line of " deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner " and " deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner ".

Will try it again later.

regards
Joseph

I had kind of the same problem.
The manual isn't correct from Kerio but got it working after all.
Don't know exactly what i did but try adding the Sun-Java source and try google.
''install jre-6 on ubuntu'' the commands you find there should help you to figure it out in about 5 minutes.

I have successfully installed the sun-java6-jre and Kerio Workspace too.
Mousing around it now! Smile
