Do you need Open Directory integration?[ 9 votes ]

Hi,

I run a Mac based systems integration company and use Kerio Connect as my main mail/calendar server offering - 80% of my clients on Mac OS X Server are also running Connect.

For me, Kerio's major strength is their support of Mac OS X and Linux, as well as Windows. This is one of the main reasons I have put so much effort into selling and supporting Connect to my customers.

I would really like to see OD integration make it into the v1.0 release of Operator - I have a large number of clients who would be able to take advantage of this.

Hi,

Open Directory is already supported. See Advanced Options > Directory Service, where you can choose either Active Directory or Open Directory.

We have one bug that relates to Open Directory, though: "Test Connection" will often fail even if you configured everything correctly. We are going to address this issue soon.

Hi Vladimir,

Thanks for that - reading through the release notes it said:
Quote:
It is possible to connect Kerio Operator to Active Directory (Open Directory support is not yet working).

I was under the impression that Kerio Workspace wasn't going to have OD support in the v1.0 release and really wanted to see that Operator was going to get it for the release version.

I see. This is a leftover from an older version of the text. Sorry for misleading you.
