Any update on this? Will Operator support virtual box?

Hi,

It is not possible to install to VirtualBox from the ISO file. But there is a workaround:

1. Download the virtual appliance ZIP file (kerio-operator-appliance-1.0.0-2882-vmware.zip) and unzip it.
2. Move the VMDK file to where you keep VirtualBox disk files.
3. Start VirtualBox and register the VMDK as a new virtual disk in the virtual media manager.
3. Create a new virtual machine of the "Other linux" type and assign the Operator's VMDK disk to it.
4. Boot the virtual machine.

Sorry but where do I have to copy the vmdx file so that the virtual media manager lets me asign it? I am using Virtualbox 4.02.

Hi,

The virtual disk file is VMDK. The virtual media manager will let you add it from any directory, so it's really up to you where you want to keep it.

Hi,

just found this old thread - what are your experiences with Operator in VirtualBox?

Best,

Now I can confirm, it is running smoothly!
(I had to switch off IO-APIC, but that seems to be specific to my hardware.)
Thanks, Vladimir!
