Hi,

I have sucessfully configured operator with a sip provider to receive incoming calls.

Problem is that the caller id on my softphone and in the call history is always my telephone number of the sip provider (31xxxxxxxx)and not the number that is making the call to me.

since i would like to see who is actually calling me, i want to ask if there is a solution for this problem?

The provider is budgetphone (nl)

Hi,

Can you send me a screenshot of your SIP interface configuration? What's in your rewriting rules?

Hi,

When this happens, what Caller ID can you see in the listing of Active calls? What Caller ID is appears in the call history for that call?

Thanks,
Vladimir

I always see the number assigned to my SIP trunk as incoming.

Hi,

One additional question: Do you use Caller ID overriding?

No it is set as the default "Display." In my call routing, if I check "User ID differs" then I can input something in there, and I get that number in the incoming caller ID.

Playing devils advocate here ... This is in my logs...

10/Nov/2010 14:11:29] Active calls:
[10/Nov/2010 14:11:29] asterisk-1289394675.164!370601434!3038725961!SIP/370601434-0 9659f48!3!0!!6!3!BackGround!/var/lib/asterisk/kerio_sounds/i ntro!Ivr!in!!!13!13

I captured this during a phone call, and no where in here do I see MY mobile number that I called from. Would this be a SIP trunk issue (with the Caller ID), or Operator?

In addition, under my Call Routing config, if I change the "external number" then it delivers THAT number to my caller ID. Is there any way to leave this empty? SO caller ID might pass through?

Hi,

This is the bug. Instead of the external number, you should see the real caller ID. We are now working on fixing that. The fix will be included in the next release.
