Hi All,

One of our clients wants to change a users email address to something different and I just wanted to know if it is a simple as it sounds...

They have a staff member called Michelle who currently has the email address "michelleb" and it needs to be changed to just plain "michelle" because of a business card mixup.

The problem is there is already an email address in use by another Michelle labelled as "michelle" which needs to be changed to "michellelb" so we can use the other address with the other account.

Is this just a matter of changing the original "michelle" email to "michellelb" first and then changing the other one? Will there be any issue with the mailbox or the index? It sounds super simple but I don't want all hell to break loose if possible!

Thanks,

Sam

As per Kerio knowledge base:

http://support.kerio.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=v iewarticle&kbarticleid=513

  1. Stop Kerio MailServer
  2. Rename the user's account directory in the store folder to the new account name.
  3. Start Kerio MailServer
  4. In the Admin Console, add the new user and delete the old user (choose the option to NOT delete the user's mail). Click on Apply.
