Hello I am a software developer and am working on a project that could leverage connecting Workspace to other content. One example is rendering a silverlight control, perhaps inside a Mashup. Is there/will there be any structured way to say, pass authentication or session information on to another website?

Any ability to create custom content types?

If all you want to do is to embed Flash content or iframes from other sites, you can use the Mashup component.

We see an API for creating custom components by third parties as a very imporant part of our platform. Although there is no published API at this moment, it is definitely a part of our plans to provide one.

Thank you so much for your reply. In the meantime, is it possible to at least get some type of unique identifier of the logged in user, and append it to the iframe target URL or something along those lines?

The content inside the mashup would be specific to each user. Thank you! -J

in case you are still interested in API development, I would recommend to check out Kerio Developer Zone which contains some examples and sample applications using the Kerio APIs Client Library for PHP. Main target is Administration API for Kerio Connect but with a small piece of work you will be able to communicate also with your Kerio Workspace easily in PHP.

Functionality against Kerio Workspace might not be fully verified, documented, or even supported. This API is in progress, might change in the future.

We have plans for providing Administration API and Data API for clients, e.g. for working with content but there is no timeframe yet when such API for Kerio Workspace will be released.

Best regards,
