Do I have to use an SMTP SERVER from another ISP? Or can I use Kerio mailserver as an SMTP. I need to get around my current ISP SMTP file size limit.

Many Thanks

You can use Kerio for SMTP, however, you need to be sure that the servers your server will communicate with will accept mail from your IP address(es).

Good practice is to have a static IP with reverse DNS mapping the IP back to the name (ie mail.bmac.org=72.74.246.83 and 72.74.246.83=mail.bmac.org).

While you may need other things (like SPF entries and such), static IP with valid rDNS is the most critical.

Oh, be sure your ISP allows your level or class of service to run a mail server on that connection. Some will block port 25 on non-business-class services.

Cheers,
Jon
