I have Kerio Workspace up and running on the same server as Kerio Connect. I have the Workspace ports de-conflicted, it is running http at port 8888 and https at 8443.

I am trying to get email notifications of changes working in Workspace but it fails to send. I see this in the Workspace server log:

[16/Dec/2010 00:09:31] {com.kerio.workspace} ERROR: Sending email failed.

I have tried localhost, 127.0.0.1 and the LAN IP address of the server with the same result. I have also tried with and without authentication. Anyone have any ideas or is this a bug?

Thanks!

Hello Chris,

are you sure that the SMTP server is really running on the port 25 at localhost? The error message suggests that it isn't. If you telnet to localhost, port 25, does the SMTP server respond?

Thank you for your reply.

I can contact the Kerio Connect email server on the same machine via telnet:

bash-3.2# telnet 127.0.0.1 25
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 mail.hyrend.com Kerio Connect 7.1.3 ESMTP ready

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

-Chris
