Hi - I'm using Kerio Connect v. 7.1.2 on OS X 10.6.5 and I'm trying to use formmail.pl from Matt's Script Archive to process some web forms. I had this working with Communigate Pro in the past with no problems.

I've set the $mailprog variable in the script as follows:
$mailprog = '/usr/local/kerio/mailserver/sendmail -i -t';

I also created a symbolic link from /usr/sbin/sendmail to the kerio location, and made sure 127.0.0.1 was allowed to relay.

The web form is processed and the confirmation page displayed, but there is no indication that it's even hitting Kerio, and no email is ever sent.

Is anyone else using this script for web forms who can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for any help!

OK, I am now able to get mail to hit the server after disabling Postfix per the PHP instructions (KB article 449, unfortunately the forum won't let me post links yet... Confused ), but it's still failing.

The SMTP debug log shows that the email is being sent by postmaster<_at_>my-computer.local, instead of postmaster<_at_>mydomain.com, so Kerio is rejecting it. Does anyone know where this is coming from and how to change it?

OK, having a conversation with myself here, but thought I'd share in case anyone else is ever looking for the solution...

Changing the hostname through the terminal with
scutil --set HostName myhost.mydomain.com
fixes the second problem, and now everything works!

But you don't want the webform to come from 'postmaster' - now do you?
Make sure to set the From header in the perl script so it comes (and bounces) to the correct address.. Wink
