At one particular customer, we're seeing somewhat frequent time-outs in Mail.app as users attempt to access their IMAP folders. Out of approx 200 users, with a fairly even mix of Outlook, Thunderbird, and Mail.app users, the Mail.app users seem to be the only ones having issues. Not sure if this is related, but I'm also seeing an inordinate amount of folder mismatches (where mail.app suddenly starts using Sent Messages and Deleted Messages instead of their "... Items" counterparts). The customer is aware of the potential causes for the folder disconnects, and is fairly confident that they are not causing the issues themselves. Many users are on iOS devices, connected as Exchange users, and they see the same time-outs, although not as frequently. My gut is that it's a server network issue, but the customer is defending their network, stating that "this never happened when we were using 10.5 Server's mail product". The Kerio server is located in a one office, on MPLS, and users in 4 other offices are seeing varying degrees of the problem. Can anyone confirm or deny any known issues in Apple's iOS/mail.app products which might contribute to this issue?

please read this thread, I think your issue is also related to slow server response time.
