Hi,

Currently my customer server is running server 2003. Client pc are running windows xp and windows 7. They all have symantec endpoint protection installed on their machine. Problem now is that it's very slow receiving email. I will take long time and sometimes just stuck there. I had tried uninstall the symantec endpoint protection and the problem is still there. I did tried connect directly from the adsl modem to pc and the receiving email is so much faster and it took awhile to download all the messages which some contains attachment with size of 8MB or more. I guess something to do with the firewall and it's like scanning or block the email. Lately just updated the kerio connect to version 7.1.0 patch 2. Any idea i can resolve this problem? I really need help. Thanks

Hi,

I had disable the intrusion prevention as well and updated to latest pre-release version which was 7.1.0 patch 3. everything seems working fine now. email downloading is a lots faster. you should try update your kerio version. i havent try re-enable back the intrusion prevention.

Hi,

I get that version through the staff when i submit a email support to them. They gave me the link to try out that pre-release version which they said might fix my problem.

I have the feeling that the issue may be related to the firewall that he is using. It is scanning each and every email that he is getting. I would request him to uninstall it. I am sure that that it will provide solution to his problem. If still the problem persists then he will need to check the speed of his internet connection.

This is a known bug and in 7.1.0 Patch 2 and is related to the POP3 inspector. Very frustrating! You can get around this by setting the default inspector to None in the Traffic Rules until an official update is released.
