At our company we use Kerio Connect. I've successfully changed user details by removing their details from the local store (without deleting their user store), renaming the folder in BASH terminal and adding the user details pointing to the new login/username.

Similarly, removing a user from the local store to Open Directory a user can still access their Kerio Connect data providing the username/login is the same.

Kerio Workspace doesn't operate in the same fashion each user doesn't have a separate data store.

When I change a user from being in the Kerio Workspace local database to Open Directory database the workspace(s) they no longer have access to workspaces they previously had access to... even if their login/username is exactly the same. This is a bit of a problem for us especially if nobody else has Reader/Contributor/Admin rights to those workspaces. This seems to be a bit of an administration oversight (or perhaps I'm overlooking a feature that addresses this problem). I hope this is addressed in a future release or documentation.
