Does any one know when the Item Clean-Out happens and how to check if it is running.

A clients Kerio is maxing out all the processors again on a mac box. This happens every so often and I can't find what is causing it. I have noticed a lot of deletions in the operations log so possibly this Item Clean-Out is happening and causing extra load on the mail server.

Any ideas?

Well, you can easily find out which client is deleting the messages. "Item clean-out" client is identified as well as normal users.
There is an option to enable debug logging of the item clean-out feature so you can watch the progress. Disable the debug logging when it's not needed.
