Hi all,

This morning I've got this error in KC 7.1.3:

Sophos is not running!

When I want to manually update I get this: Failed to run antivir update

I also get this into the logs: mail_avir.cpp Antivirus check of email from (useradress<_at_>company.com) failed: Plugin is not running

I can access the test page from kerio in http and https (sophos-update.kerio.com/test.html) from my mail server.

I already reboot the server machine and checked the licence file is ok for Sophos.

Could someone help me because all the mails stay in Queue!!

I would switch off the Sophos AV for the moment to get your queue processed.

You should switch on AV logging in the debug log to find the root cause of the problem.

Thank you for your help. Yes, I had to switch off he Sophos AV to get the queue processed.

I checked in Debug log, but there is nothing with this problem.

When I try to start Sophos AV, I get this message:

Engine Sophos failed to start: detection of test virus EICAR failed.

Then in Error Logs:

AvModule.cpp: cannot start AV server, self test failed: Detection of test virus EICAR failed

and: AvModule.cpp: Antivirus plugin Sophos cannot be initialized: Detection of test virus EICAR failed

Now the mail server is working but I really don't want to let the AV disabled for too long.

What could I do/or check?

This can happen if you have an AV scanner on the server and you don't exclude the Kerio directories.

Yes, that was the AV from the server machine that blocked the update from Sophos. I excluded Kerio directories and I allowed Kerio's protocols in the AV configuration.
The plugin is active and updated.
Thanks very much for your help!
