I am set up as the admin on our Kerio connect server, and as the admin I seem to get the archive folders in my mail.

I appreciate this is a good idea for some, to me it is deeply irritating as I don't want to constantly be reminded of everyone else's email, let alone the implications of privacy etc.

Am i right in assuming that at lease one admin / user HAS to have it?

Is there a way to disable it for all users including the admin.

i used to assign the admin rights to a spare user, so i didn't see it, but now we have filled up our licenses and I don't want to purchase a license for another 5 email addresses just to hide one folder.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Yes, I second this. It is somewhat annoying.

I have got so hacked off with it, I have had to turn off archiving all together, which is a real shame as it is a really useful part of the software.

It is a shame it has not been implemented particularly well.

Why can't the admin be a separate login? Why does it have to be a user or a license seat?

I have archiving switched on as well. But I only see one folder called "Archive Folders". As it is collapsed (click on the "-" icon, if it isn't) it doesn't bother me at all.

So what is the problem of seeing one extra folder?

The main problem is that i use growl and it gives me constant notification for every mail in the archive folder.

I appreciate it may sound petty to some.

Thanks

Maybe you should try to solve that on "growl" (don't know that product). I guess it should be possible to exclude folders from notification? Or are you getting notifications for the Junk and Recycle Bin folders as well?
