Back when I was trying to get Kerio working it appeared that there was no way to have multiple calendars on your iPhones and iCal while being able to view those multiple calendars in a useful way in Kerio's web calendar. Some users have ten calendars, and in order to find out if a day/time is free, they would have to look at ten different calendars.

Has anything changed for the better in this scenario? For instance, can iCal and iPhones now deal with the nested calendars that Kerio expects from Outlook? Any other possible ways around this? I searched, but only found others with similar problems and no way around it.

Thanks, Ian

I'm not sure about 'easy' ways, but my sloppy method is: In addition to your 'normal' calendar setup, I just setup one calDAV calendar, and then copy this known good calendar URL on the iPhone, and setup a new (additional) calDAV calendar, changing the last part of the address. (Hint: use iPhone's copy-and-paste)

On your iPhone it will be under:

Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendar.

Setup a new calendar as a 'CalDAV' account. One CalDAV account for each calendar you want available.

Go to the advanced settings, and the account URL is the bit you want to copy. It will be something like:

https://yourdomain.com:443/caldav/users/yourdomain.com/usern ame

For 'username' I am using shared resources (e.g. boardroom_building_3).

Not pretty, I know. But it works, and I have all my shared resources this way, so I can book or check anything directly that I need...

Cheers,
D.

I guess I'm confused what your method does that helps with what I was asking about. Maybe that was in response to another post?

To be more specific, here are two questions:
1) Can Kerio show all of your calendars that are set up with iCal in one web calendar, or do you still have to look at all ten separate calendars on their own?
2) Can iCal now view calendars the way that Outlook expects them?

For reference, I believe the way that Outlook expects calendars is as one calendar, and different events can be in different categories or some similar type of term. iCal doesn't know categories, and instead you have separate calendars serving that purpose. As far as I can tell, this still makes the Kerio web calendar broken for Mac users, as there's no way to see everything at once if you have more than one category/calendar on the Mac.

Thanks again, Ian

Hi there.

Are you using the 'available meetings time' feature in iCal?

Cheers,
D.

Im not quite sure if I follow. The web client itself, I don't know if its possible to have a calendar that mixes differnt calendars in one view. But, I do know on iCal, Outlook, iPhones, iPads, you do can check multiple calendars and see them all at once in one screen, or check some of them and the result would be visible on the screen.

Oh, one other thing... If you have a user using an iPhone, you can bypass some of the setup instructions I mentioned above, by going to your webmail domain on your iPhone's Safari browser, and clicking the 'Setup my iPhone' link at the bottom of the window.

From there, you can sync extra calendars (which appear in your Calendar app on the iPhone), without having to manually stipulate them any other way.

Very handy feature!

Cheers,
D.

In this post, I don't need help with iPhone, iCal or anything but a browser. Sometimes you don't have a device with you. Sometimes you are just sitting down at someone else's machine to check your calendar. dy-e, I appreciate that you're trying to be helpful, but your responses don't seem to have anything to do with my question.

The question: Is there a way to view more than one calendar at a time in Kerio's web interface?

If no, please say "no". And Kerio, please add this feature. It would be useful. It's broken and pointless for iCal users.
If yes, please provide more information, as I don't see a way to do this.
