I think there is no step by step help.
But everything is optimized there...
Turn off service what you will not need... Install Winroute.
Maybe is server configuration to slow if you have problems??...

Question cannot be stupid, but some of the answers can.

HI PRETORIAN,

As Goran stated there is no step by step guide. My advice would be to install windows Server 2008 with minimal software. If it would be a dedicated Firewall server you don't need to add any roles to the server as Kerio doesn't require any roles of Windows server.
Quick step by step :
-Install windows server 2008
-Install all security updates (SP1 and others)
-Install remote software (if needed)
-Have atleast 2 network interface or more
-Assign IP addresses to the 2 interfaces
-Download latest KC version
-Install KC
-Configure KC

OR

You could install the KC Linux version. The software assists you installing it with the minimum software. If I am correct it fully optimized....

That should be it!

Goodluck!

Hi Pretorian,

I agree with cliffjag. It's beter to go for a system that run's the appliance (linux).
The software (ISO) is simple and fast to install. The installation would take less time then to install W2k8 R2. Give and take 15 to 20 min. and it's running with the basic settings. Hour later and you got your own configuration running. Other great thing, NO MS Updates ..... just only the Kerio Control update.
