Hi,
I'm quite new to administrating KC and have been set the task to configure 2 IPhone4's to logon to the users mail account from the outside.

I've followed the instructions from the manuals.kerio.com and set the a new mail account as a Microsoft Exchange account with all the required information.

On the first attempt it couldn't verify the account information.

Then I disabled SSL and tried saving the account settings, only to get a continuous pop-up saying Incorrect Password.

I have verified the password and can even access the mail account from the IPhone through the web interface.

Systeminfo: KC 7.1.2 build 2260, Mac OS X 10.4.11

Can anyone help?

Are you putting anything in the domain section on the Iphone?

I have set quite a few up with no problems, and in every case I have to leave the domain section blank.

Username is normally the email address
password is obviously the users password

You should have port 443 open from the outside for SSL and 80 for non-SSL (not recommended) This cannot be changed.

I hope this helps!

Stuart

Try looking at and adjusting your Advanced Option - Security - Enabled Auth Methods. You may need to turn on the PLAIN method. I had the same problem with an Android phone. After using the Debug Log and looking the different auth calls, I could see where the first level of auth would work, but that the last level didn't want an encrypted password at that point. You can try using the debug log as well. You will need the user's phone so that you can try it on demand.

Hi Stuart,
Checked the firewall settings and left the domain section blank.
