There are some market demands from Kerio Connect. Like-

1. There must be a option 'Change Password at First Logon". If we enable this option and create users, then those users will be forced to changed the password at First Logon. As seen most of the users don't change the password at all.

2. Password reset option must be there for end user, so that they can change their password without calling Admin.

3. Chat option is very much required.

4. There is no in built reporting tool in Kerio Connect.

Part of the problem with (1) and (2) is the wide variety of e-mail clients that Kerio can work with because it is standards compliant. The only client it would be practical for offer this support for would be the included WebMail. Indeed, item (2) is already there. To my knowledge, the IMAP and POP3 protocols will supply a password if asked, but have no facility for changing a password.

Item (3) would be kinda nice, but again once you are talking about people who don't use WebMail, Kerio would have to develop clients for the various operating systems. There are many free or low cost Jabber based chat servers available. If you live primarily in Windows, and don't mind spending a little money, the instant messenger software from ipSwitch comes highly recommended

I agree that some report and/or data export functionality would be nice. It would be cool if the data on the 'statisitics' status page could be saved in CSV format. Or, for that matter, the current user list with statistics on their mail store, traffic chart data, etc.

Good is better than evil because it's nicer
