Has anyone seen this before - we have some emails sent from outlook 2003 and 2007 as html emails that when viewed on an iphone 4 using imap the emails are unreadable and show what can best be described as html code or tags like this: note we are running 7.1.4 NOT patch 1 - does patch 1 fix this?

{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\fromhtml1 \deff0{\fonttbl {\f0\fswiss Arial;} {\f1\fmodern Courier New;} {\f2\fnil\fcharset2 Symbol;} {\f3\fmodern\fcharset0 Courier New;} {\f4\fswiss\fcharset0 Arial;}} {\colortbl\red0\green0\blue0;\red0\green0\blue255;}

I recommend to search this forum, it has been discussed several times here.
The email is not in HTML. It has plaintext and RTF part, both were decoded from Tnef proprietary encoding used by Microsoft. Apple Mail (both on Mac and iPhone) chooses to display RTF part even if it cannot do it properly. Solution is to report this bug to Apple. Or tell the sender to use MIME formatting instead of Tnef when sending the email. Or use Exchange ActiveSync account instead of IMAP on the iPhone.

Thanks for the reply...

I should expand that we have had the same problem with blackberries (from sprint and Verizon bold 9650's and curve 8330, and 9330's so far) that were also connected via imap we don't use a BES so it seems we are having the issue with mobile devices we only use iphones and blackberries right now.
