When we select Reply All to an email that has some of the external email addresses listed as lastname, firstname and then the actual email address, Kerio is resolving lastname, to a nonexistant email address in our Kerio domain.

Example if the following data was in an email address listing for an email
doe, john and they don't resolve in the address book, it sends the email to doe@our-email-domain.com and john<_at_>our-email-domain.com.

I have all emails sent to non-existant mailboxes sent to my mailbox so I can forward them - but internally shouldn't it say the email doesn't exist instead of appending our email domain to the name?
Thanks for your help with this.

If you send all messages to non-existent users to your inbox, presumably using a * alias, then in effect there are no non-existent users anymore. All address are valid, so that's why people will never get a 'user unknown' message.

About the comma problem: true, I encounter it sometimes also. A solution would be for Kerio to limit the address separator to the ; character, but that is more difficult for end-users. AFAIK Kerio tries to be intelligent about is, encasing addresses with comma's in double-quotes "doe, john" and then at least it is processed correctly. However, that does not always happen correctly, so in the end you have to check yourself if a problem exists in the address list and fix it manually before sending out such messages.
