Is anyone using Vitelity with Operator.

I can get it to register bit no incoming/outgoing calls get thru. I just get busy signals.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I guess you are the first one to try Vitelity with Operator. A relatively frequent mistake is having incorrect format of your external number in Operator. Some SIP providers signal the number in local format, some in the full national format, some also include the country prefix. The best way is to try to call in and capture the packets using the built-in in packet sniffer. Also, you could try to look for some Asterisk howto for Vitelity. It should provide some clues as well.

Oh well have to stay with Asterisk...

Hi,

The problem here is that the proxy and outbound proxy are different. Operator does not support that yet. I will include this change into a service release after we finalize 1.1.0 .

Not yet in Operator 1.1.0. Does Vitely provide some test accounts?

Hi,

We now have an account from Vitelity. I found the SIP account can be used with Operator without problems if you reconfigure it to the IP Phone/ATA mode. If you do this, Vitelity will assign you a single SIP proxy instead of the pair of proxies (inbound/outbound) they provide if you choose the PBX mode.

Attached is a screenshot of the External Interface edit dialog.

Thanks..

I got it working with your example...

The only thing I cannot get so far is Caller ID...

No matter what I do I get "User Unknown"...

Hi,

My account behaves the same way. When I place an outgoing call, the receiving phone shows it as coming from an unknown number. I checked the packet dump and the signalling is OK, it's precisely what I would expect with this type of configuration. I filled a ticket with Vitelity support. I will share the result with you when I get a response.

Hi,

The solution is simple: Go to Vitelity's portal DIDs > Sub Accounts and configure the Caller ID for your sub account.
