Hi there,

I've been playing arround with the new version of Kerio Connect. But I cannot get a Windows Phone 7 working over imap. Android is working fine.

I even tried the option of unsupported devices, but no luck.

Is there a manual on how to connect a WP7?

Best Regards,

Toolman

If you want to use secured SSL connection, you need to install the server SSL certificate first and then restart the phone before configuring the account.

Thanks for your answer.
I don't use ssl I'm in my house through wifi. But I've installed the certificate anyway through the webmail page from kerio.

But still no luck

Hi,

What errors are you getting (phone and kerio)

Is there anything in the kerio logs (Web Admin>Logs)

Its a bit difficult to troubleshoot with so little information.

Cheers

Stuart

Tried SSL but its not working.
There is no error on the logs. Maybe because it doesn't connect?
On the phone i get:
We are having problem downloading messages. Make sure you have a connection and your account info is correct and try again. error code 80004005.

I can connect to the server because webmail works on the phone.

What error message do you see in the security tab in the logs? Port 143 forwared to Kerio connect? Does it work from a workstation on the local network? If yes, dows it work from external with IMAP with Outlook?

---
Thanks, Andre

There is no error message in the security.
I can connect a workstation to the server, even from my work computer which is outside my home.
I've forwarded 143 to the server.

Just a thought, but does WP7 only use Secure IMAP ?

In that case you would need port 993.

Thanks for your thought
internal it doesn't work either, and there is no portforwarding on my internal network.
I can see that the secure imap is running on the server.

I dig further and the port993 wasn't excluded in the firewall. I've excluded it now.
And now I get the error that the account info is incorrect (over and over again)

It looks like you're geting closer.

In the Kerio admin section, look under configuration, advanced options > security policy.

Press unlock all accounts

Try it again.

Check your username is user<_at_>domain.com

In active connections I can see that the phone is connected for a few seconds and then it disconnects.
And then I get the error on my phone

Do I take it that the security logs are showing an incorrect login attempt?

Does it show the correct username in there?

I have found sometimes that smartphones change the format of the user name.

I have never connected WP7 before.

What about using Activesync ?

Cheers

Yes it says username@domainname
You mean active sync as in a exchange server? I've tried it before but it needs a domainname. Is that the email domainname?

Thanks,

Sander
