We've got a problem with one particular user's mailbox in that if multiple connections are trying to download mail from it, it locks the account up and runs extremely slowly - however, other users with smaller numbers of concurrent connections work fine.

Webmail access, IMAP access and BES access all run slowly for one user, so is there some kind of locking or max connections per user (not service - those are set high) in place or hidden somewhere that determines this problem?

One theory we have is that the mailserver has limited upstream bandwidth, so incoming connections from external clients may be timing out, and then open new ones, but eventually result in the account being locked while it processes everything.

Any ideas or solutions?
