Hello all, good to see you guys help people.

See heres the situation, i have Mail Archiving activated. Im kind of new to this fotware (Kerio Mailserver 6.6.2), i had a user who had administrative priviliges and deleted all the archive folders through its webmail interface.

I was shocked and scared that this has happened, can you guys confirm if all these emails stored in these folders are "copies" of the original ones?

Or are these emails the originals?

Thanks for your prompt response.

The users would still have the originals. Those are copies of the originals moved into a separate folder for archiving purposes. Hope that helps.

That will definitely help!!, THanks!!!
Another question, when compressing (by month).

OPERATION LOGS in Kerio Console shows a user deleting all the mails from the folder. Is that normal?

Depends. If the log is showing all the mail being deleted, you need to know what is being deleted from where by whom. Hopefully that is clear. It is normal for the log to show a lot of deleted user email. Typically this occurs because you have a default junk mail and trash deletion to occur. So say after 14 days, the junk email folders and trash are deleted from each user account. Since new mail arrives everyday, you should see mail being deleted everyday after the initial 14 days when you setup the mail server. You can find these under configuration/domains. double click on your domain and under messages you will see the default deletion dates and can edit them domain wide from there. Hope that helps. I doubt someone is deleting your archives. If they are, you really need to cut out all administrators from your server unless they know what they are doing.
