Hi,

Has anyone got suggestions on the best practice to configure speed / quick dial options with Kerio Operator?

I imagine we could setup extensions and configure My Phone to forward the calls, just wondering though if there is a better way.

Thanks

Hi,

If you are asking about configuring speed dials on SIP phones via auto-provisioning, Kerio Operator does not do that so far. You can configure speed dials using the phone's own menu or the built-in web interface.

Is this what you are asking about?

We would prefer not to individually configure each phone with a list of speed dials.

Auto-provisioning would work but then you have to have a supported phone.

Our current PBX system allows us to create the Speed Dial numbers almost as though it is an extension. The difference being that it has the ability to forward the call directly to a configurable external phone number.

This way any new extensions have immediate access to dialing those quick numbers.

Hope this clears my question up a bit.

Thanks

Hi,

You can create a simple auto-attendant menu with no announcement and just the default action which would be to dial the external number. You can set the time-out for the default action to 0 seconds.

Default actions only have 4 options:
Hang up
Dial Extension Number
Return to Previous Menu
Return to Main Menu

If I select 'Dial Extension' and try to input an external number using our prefix '2' + 'number', it does not fit the whole number in.

Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying?

Hi Vladimir,

I tested the ring group theory. It can work if I set an extension and then only a 1 second before fallback. It works in testing environment, but will only know when more people use it live.

Thanks for the help.
