Hello,

I am trying Kerio Connect for about 2 weeks now, my trial is soon to be expired, my question is how do we make spam stronger.

I am getting a lot of spam and i dont know how to control that . I have DNSBL all active but still lot of SPAM pass thru my INBOX.

How can we add or update spam assassin to make it more workable I have lot of DNSBL but still lots of spam are passing thru, please advise to make it stronger.

In one of the spam assassin folders is a bunch of .cf files. You can edit the local.cf to change the default settings used by spam assassin. Look at the headers for one of the spam messages that has slipped through, and you will see which spam rules were hit and the scores that were added up. You can then increase (or decrease if needed) the scores that rack up for that particular rule. You will want to keep a copy of your changed local.cf file elsewhere, because a Kerio update may overwrite it.

It's possible your Bayes database is not active after 2 weeks. It requires 200 spams and 200 legitimate e-mails to be active. DB learns with each e-mail but these limits are minimal. In web administration go to "Spam Filter" -> "SpamAssassin" -> check "Filter status:". I guess it will be "Learning", not "Active".

Also, try to switch on Spam Repellent and let us know which DNSBLs you are using. You can add some others to the standard lists that KC comes with.
