Hi All,

Many customers are asking about a global phone book.

Sorry to say, but we cannot sell Operator because the regular PBX boxes like Siemens, Alcatel, Panasonic all have a buildin phone book.

They do not want to link this to any active directory, just put in a bunch of numbers to be able to dail quickly to outside numbers.

Is there allready a tested way for this matter?

Thanks!,Rob

Best regards,

Hi,

Are you asking for dialing shortcuts?

Hi Vladimir,

We mean that a person in a company can dail with for example a 344 shortcut, the local Mercedes Garage, 345, the bakery, 346 another company, etc without the need to know all the complete numbers.

Thanks, R.

Best regards,

Hi,

There's currently no straightforward method for this, so this need to be improved in a future version (maybe already 1.2, depending on what solution we choose).

A workaround that could work if the number you want to dial (including your dial-out prefix) is not longer than 10 digits, is to create an auto-attendant script with no audio message and set the default action to 'dial extension' and enter your intended number instead.

Hi,

There is a wide range of company's want to use those features and it will help to get Kerio Operator more widely acceptable for the SMB marked.

I guess there is a lot of work to do.

Things like a Global address phonebook, Fax support, a build in DHCP server, Call parking would help this!

Regards, Rob
