Feature complete beta version of Kerio Connect 7.3.0 is available to download and test.

Important changes in this version

64-bit Outlook Support
Many customers and partners have requested a 64-bit version of the Kerio Outlook Connector (Offline Edition). We listened. With Kerio Connect 7.3, users can now confidently use 64-bit versions of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office. Users will notice some increased performance with search, sort and group by conversation functions.

Beta Preview of WebMail 2 Calendar - removed from Beta 3
We appreciate the feedback we've received from the beta testing community regarding the new WebMail 2 calendar feature. We've listened and have removed the link to the new calendar feature for this release. We agree that having two different calendars could be confusing to users. The WebMail 2 Calendar preview can still be accessed directly by going to https://server/webmail/login2/.

Improved Usability and Performance in Web Administration
No more paging hassle in Web Administration - paging has been removed from most data grids in favor of live data grids. The user experience is much better now when working with Users, Groups, Aliases, etc. For performance reasons, some data grids with auto-refresh (e.g. Connections) will retain paging. Performance when switching from one screen to another has also been improved.

Full Text Search in WebMail and IMAP
Kerio WebMail and IMAP now features full text search! Users can now search for text strings within the body of their emails, not just message headers. Full text search works in Quick Search returning results from the current folder, and in Advanced Search returning results from entire mailbox.

Enhanced Security with Password Guessing Protection (Antihammering)
[/size]Kerio Connect now protects users from outside attackers attempting to guess weak passwords. With a simple preconfigured setting, administrators can now block IP addresses suspicious of account and password guessing attacks.

Improved Quota Warnings and Notifications
Administrators now have the flexibility to specify the threshold at which to trigger a user's quota warning in addition to how many warnings are issued. Warning notifications can also be sent to an individual, a group, or a mail list.

Message Store Stability and Performance Improvements
Kerio Connect 7.3 boasts a number of improvements to the message store: broken index files can now be automatically detected and corrected; corrupted user mailboxes and public folders can now be corrected from within the web administration - no more stopping the mail server; and performance of move/delete operations of message store items has been improved.

Kerberos User Authentication Stability Improvement
User authentication on Linux and Mac OS X systems using Kerberos 5 was improved to be more resistant to DNS misconfiguration. Kerberos authentication is now handled with a separate process to ensure highest reliability and minimal delay.

Extended Out of Office settings
Users can now specify the precise time period (date and time) for Out of Office messages in WebMail, Kerio Outlook Connector and other client applications.

SSL certificates and photos in GAL
SSL certificates and photos are now stored in the directory service and synchronized to the Global Address List. Users no longer need to send private keys to recipients of encrypted emails.

Account Assistant for Apple Mac OS X clients
Integration with the Mac has just gotten even easier. Kerio Connect 7.3 includes a new autoconfiguration tool for Apple Mail. To make client configuration for the Mac even easier, all of the autoconfiguration tools for Apple Mail, iCal, Address Book, Microsoft Outlook and Entourage have been unified into a single tool the Account Assistant for Mac OS X.

Configuration Profile for Apple iOS
Users can now setup Mail, Contacts and Calendars in their Apple iOS device using a single Configuration Profile using either Exchange ActiveSync or CalDAV, CardDAV and IMAP.

Unsupported Exchange ActiveSync devices
Administrators can now easily allow all synchronization of unsupported Exchange ActiveSync devices by simply checking a check box in the Web administration.

Recurrent Tasks
Recurrent tasks are now synchronized between Kerio Outlook Connector (Offline Edition), Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac, and Kerio WebMail.

Now if you also could implement a checkbox so I can allow/disallow the use of specific services (POP, Webmail, ActiveSync) for certain users and groups, I will scream of joy! Smile

Just checking, can you still set up just one service easily on the Mac or iOS? I ask because we only use Kerio for the calendar, we don't use the contacts or mail services.

I am working as mailing solution architect since last three years and loving to suggest for Kerio to end users. It is really a alternate to MS Exchange. It is already proven that Kerio Connect can support more than 4500 (yes, four thousand five hundred). Although Kerio Connect is a good choice over Exchange, but it lacks some features like:
1. Password Reset Option when end users forget their password. There must me an option to mention alternate email address while creating mail id in kerio connect and there will be a link in login page as " Forgot Password?". If a user forgets his/ her password, he/ she will have to answer the secret question and Kerio Connect Server will send a new password to that alternate mail id.

2. Change Password at First Login option must be included. Most of the users don't change the password that is provided by Mail Server Administrator. Enabling Change Password at First Login, we can force users to change their password. The same feature is available in exchange.

3. In admin console of kerio connect, there is no reporting tool as such. We need to know which users are inactive, which users have reached their mail box quota, to which mail domain maximum email was sent, from which domain maximum mail was received, which users are locked out due to maximum login try with wrong password.

4. In Kerio Connect, we can host multiple mail domain. That is pretty good, but each mail domain must have it's customized webmail login page. At preset all the mail domains use the single login page. This is not good at all. Different mail domains will have different SSL certificate. At preset we can generate a single CSR for the whole mail server or rather all domains. It must be corrected in next release.

Does the enhanced webmail search extend to searching contacts?

We've been dying for the ability to search contacts by category and notes.
