Hi!
We had an major disk crash this night. Lost 2 disks in our raid5.
I have successfully installed the backup from yesterday.

But there is 1 day of mails/cal-events etc missing..
I have a lot of those in lost+found, #2343242 etc.

I have read some of them an can "see where they belong", how do i restore them easily?
Do they need to be in 000XXXXX.eml?

Thanks in advance,
Johan

Johan

The traditional way to restore something that's ended up in lost+found is to inspect each file, guess what it is and see if it's possible to move it back to its original location. The system does not know where the files came from, i.e. that's why they're in lost+found.

Yeah, I'm into that.
But what about the filenames? I can't restore the original in any way I'm afraid?
Can I get Kerio to "recalculate" an new filename?

Thanks,

There is way how to import .eml files to user's INBOX:
- append the extension .eml to this file
- copy file to user's account - directly to root of his folder, e.g. store/mail/domain/<user>/
(Do not copy it to subfolders, INBOX or any other folder.)
- login with user to the WebMail. Files will be processed by server and will be available in INBOX.

Yes, with workaround, direct import to Calendar or manual moving from INBOX to Calendar is impossible.

So import it to INBOX, move it to Deleted Items and then move it to calendar folder.
