I have a client using Google Apps for Business. They have a CRM program locally that sends messages to clients with a "from" address of the users currently using gmail but it will only do it via SMTP. Because of this they cannot relay to Google as that expects you to log in as the specific user account for their domain.

They also need to send emails from their internal servers via SMTP to the individual user accounts that exist on gmail. Again Google will not allow this.

Because of this I cannot simply set up an internal server (looking at Kerio Connect) with the Primary domain as it will treat the the email from the servers as local and drop them. Or can I...

I noted that Google have "Inbound Gateways" that you can set up to allow an internal server to relay as long as it is destined for a local google account in the primary domain. If I set up the primary domain locally on Kerio, don't set up any mail boxes and configure the domain to forward any mail for users not on the local server to google I assume this will take care of this problem.

Has anyone else configured Kerio in this way before?

Thanks

Graham
