I read a lot of issues regarding to the Exchange Active sync like mentioned on the support site of MS: support.microsoft.com/kb/905013

Is it in Kerio Control also possible to set a kind of time-out setting so you would overcome the 'Exchange ActiveSync Firewall Idle Timeout Configuration'?

Is the kerio control better than an MS ISA server?

Kerio Control is better then MS ISA server. MS ISA isn't a real Firewall Solution. Kerio Control is a Firewall solution. Thats why MS has these days Forefront as replacement. As far I knows has Control no problems as you describe. What can I say. Try it out. Take a PC with the NIC's you need install Control (Software Appliance) Configure and test it. You will be happy when you find out the easy way of configuring and the good working.
You can try it out for 30 days so why not.
