I am still withouth info, about sending extra large emails.
There is no need to really send 2Gb email or more to someone, but, to upload a file and than send it a link to someone.

I think there is a lot of users which needs that.
And schedule, when that file is deleted automatically or when it is downloaded....it is removed from server...

By the time the email reached the recipient, it will be double in sizes. Treat email server as it's designed for, don't use it like a file server; use ftp server or Web-based file hosting service like Dropbox if you want to send a large attachment. From what I've read on this forum, users with GBs of mailbox sizes are beyond my comprehension. Users should be more diligent when dealing with emails. It is not a place to store your files.

Yes that's why I am talking about implementing in Kerio posibillity NOT to use such a large files for transfering by mail.
But it will be downloaded from server like some files you download from website.
Except there will be some protections, like when file is downloaded by email recepient it is deleted, or when file is old fev days or weeks it is deleted by system.

Problem for FTP is, that users don't know how to use FTP and some other file transfer tools and protocols.

But they know how to use Outlook.
If Kerio implement this in it, it will be first on the market and that is benefit which will sell more.

And we all knows that day after day files are larger and larger, because computer are more powerfull, and internet is faster.

Soon or later someone will implement this in the system and In Outlook. Question is who will be the first?

There are lots of existing services to accomplish sending and receiving of large attachments, examples:

https://www.yousendit.com

http://www.dropsend.com

and many others, so Kerio probably sees no need to integrate into KC.

I know about those services, but as far as I know they are not implemented in Outlook. And that is important thing. That's why I asked.

Can't train users and can't user kerio workspace.
I already have something like that and users make the stupides things they can.

I have just suggested to kerio. Soon or a later someone will do that.

You really should try, convincing or training them to use a better method makes you, in the end, their valuable IT person.

Ah well, all suggestions are valid so it's always good to suggest it! Did you put the idea up on the user voice system using 'suggest idea' button ?

I train my users almost every 3 years and they can't remeber even the simpliest think like how to create shortcut on desktop.

I have suggested that on that link.
So imagine.
You make an email, attach 500Mb files, and pres SEND.
Kerio system recongise, that you have limited for attachment 15Mb.
And instead of sending a attachment it puts in email a link to attachment, which recipient download. After some ammounts of downloads or times of the day the attachment is erased.
And thats all....

So users don't need to learn something more, Kerio does all for them!

Interesting thought. That suggestions sounds more promising to me then just allowing 'Sending 2Gb or larger email'.

The fact is if you buy a Kerio Connect and Kerio Workspace, than this is not cost efective, rtather than is very expencive. And you must count a costs from training people too.

Integration that in kerio mail will give a hughe advance from other product. Which is expencier and have more functions than kerio mail. Or some other which are cheaper and also have all what kerio does!

Users need that and it will use that on daily bases.

Well, there is nothing free in this world. You either have to put in time or money to solve problems. They aren't going to vanish by themselves.

But looking at Workspace, it's very cheap, especially if you already have Connect. It's now for 36,- EUR per 5 users. Which is very low especially when you think about the possibilities this creates.

In what way are you connected to the people that are using Kerio Blisk, are you their system administrator, or do you re-sell the Kerio products to them ?

I know that there is no such thing like a free thing.
And know that too, that soon or a later someone will implement that in mail system.
And who will be the first it will make alot more money than others and it is in Kerio interest to do that.

And I am system admin, I am not selling Kerio!
