Hi,

I have a user that is missing all emails in his Inbox folder prior to 11/25/2011. His total item count is 6,589 and since he's been here for about two years it should be about 20,000. We have a company that manages our email server and have set for the server to be backed up every Sunday night. So I thought that his emails could be restored from a previous back but when I contacted the company they said that everything is backed up from November 8th, 2011 and that his item count from that period was still only around 6,000

I just wanted to know if you had any ideas of what could have caused this and if there is any way to fix it. Thanks

Which version of Kerio are you using? Which OS?

Could be a corrupted index.

Or check operations.log in webadministration, it logs all delete operations. It sounds for me like POP3 download issue (user configured POP3 client and downloaded & deleted all messages in INBOX).

@freakinvibe - We are running 7.2.4 build 5419 on CentOS release 5.5 (Final), x86

@Radek Sip - The operations.log in web admin only shows the logs from today

So it's rotated.
I suggest ask user if he didn't configured POP3 account on some computer (at home or work)

@Radek Sip - Your are absolutely right. User setup his home laptop with PoP3 and all 17k messages are there. Thanks a lot
