Hello,

I just updated to Firefox 10 and since the update the login-page of the webmail always checks "Use Webmail Mini".

With Firefox 9 this wasn't a problem.

Could anybody confirm this?

Greetings

Stefan

Same thing here. I used the Windows 7 utility - Restore Earlier Version on Firefox and life returned to normal.

I had the same problem here, but it's easy to change.

Go to the kmslib directory (on your server), open the file "browseDetector.inc" and locate the line somewhere near row 28
$this->x_270 = substr(str_replace('.', '', $x_27m[1]), 0, 2);

Then change it to
$this->x_270 = substr(str_replace('.', '', $x_27m[1]), 0, 3);

(change the 2 into a 3)

The problem is with the first line of code the version number of the firefox client will be 10 (where 1 is the major and 0 the minor version number), while it should be 100 (where 10 is the major and 0 the minor version).

I've done this with kerio mailserver for windows version 7.0.2. So when you are using another version, it's possible that this include is somewhat different. But when you use some common sense, you should be able to fix this.

Good luck

I have FF 10 on Win XP and this does not happen to me. It does say that it detected an unsupported browser, but it does not check the 'Use Webmail Mini'. I can log into the Web Mail and everything seems to be working.

Worked for me! Thanks a lot!

As I am on a different KC version I had different variable names, but easy to find the correct line.

I guess this will be fixed by Kerio in the next version.

Hello,

thanks for reporting the issue. I can confirm there is a bug in browser detection, this bug will be fixed in next Kerio Connect release.

The mentioned hotfix works good for Firefox 10, but can introduce other issue in case of previous Firefox versions (e.g. Firefox 9.0.1 detected as Firefox 90 not 9), so I strongly recommend do not modify any WebMail file to avoid unexpected and hard-to-support issues.

Finally WebMail behavior in Firefox 10 may vary with Kerio Connect/Mailserver version, old versions could deny access to the full-featured WebMail, newer just say 'Your browser is not supported' and let you to log into the full-featured WebMail without any inconveniences.

Kerio Connect 7.3.1 WebMail works properly in Firefox 10.

Best regards, Marek Sykora

7.3.1 here, works fine on WinXP and Win7. Both show unsupported browser version, but allow logging in as normal.

The one thing we have noticed is that, at least on Windows 7 with FF10, hitting Enter to open a message in a separate window will in fact open the message twice, in 2 separate windows. Not a huge deal, but something to mention to see if others were seeing the same behavior.

Same behavior on Windows XP with FF10

This is not fixed in version 7.3.2, right?

Any recommended workarounds, this is causing us problems.

Thanks!

The 'login screen' issue and the 'Enter opening message twice' is fixed, WebMail 7.3.2 supports Firefox 10 now.

Applying the workaround mentioned above is not recommended.
