If you want to search through your outlook 2010 mails do the following. Helped for me...

1. Open Indexing Options in Control Panel after you created the KOC Account.
You will find that no entry is there for outlook.

2. Create an imap account as a second mailaccount in your outlook and delete it again.
By doing this you enable quicksearch for KOC accounts.

3. Open index options in control panel again and you will see that outlook is listed there and it has started to search through your mails already.

You don't have to have the index feature of KC enabled to make this work.

regards
Oliver
