When call forwarding is configured to an external extension (mobile phone e.g.) the caller ID received on the mobile phone is the external number configured in the operator.

Is it possible to configure this to be the original caller ID? And not the caller ID of the operator?

example:
caller: 3238889999
operator: 7000
mobile phone: 32478888888

caller calls operator. operator calls mobile phone when forwarding but shows "7000" instead of "3238889999" on the mobile phone as the caller.

Dear Thomas

unfortunately this is currently not possible. I know of at least two reasons why call forwarding is implemented the way it is.

1. Some SIP providers can override caller-id or even block calls with caller-ids different to what they expect to receive. This is a security protection against caller-id spoofing.

2. We would somehow have to bypass outgoing route rules for source number rewriting as they would fail to work correctly.

As you can see, even if we managed to modify call forwarding the way you ask, it would work only with some "compatible" SIP providers.

Although I can't promise anything, I'd say that this feature might appear some-when in the future.

Best
Filip
