We have recently purchased the control hardware appliance 3110.
We have a very basic network configuration and had everything up and running fine.

About 3 weeks or so ago it showed that there was a recommended update for version 7.3.0 patch 2 build 3989

since that patch most everything seems to work, however we are unable to receive antivirus updates to control with the message:

Last update check: Failed xx minutes ago

update checker fails with the message: Update check failed

Intrusion Prevention signatures and blacklist updates fails:
unable to connect to update server.

and contact technical support link on the main page also fails and points me to support on the kerio website ticket submission page..

anyone have any suggestions? our connectivity through the firewall, rules, and everything else seems to work fine.

figured it out.

The update removed the DNS settings on the WAN port.

Network computers here use static addressing with IP/DNS manually assigned so they were able to get traffic just fine.

it was the firewall WAN port that was missing those DNS settings (removed somehow during a update?) so when the firewall tried to call out for updates or whatever it had no DNS address.

Fixed.
