We have recently turned on server side file tracking for home syncing on our 10.5 server. This has had the desired effect of dramatically speeding up our login in and out time on the client machines.

As the processing is now handled by the server, every time someone syncs it takes up 100% of one of the eight processors. As our kerio server is on the same machine (8 core intel xserve) this seem to temporally stop the ability to send mail through the server.

My questions are
a) Has anybody else seen this issue?
b) Would upgrading the server to 10.6 or 10.7 solve the issue due to GCD?
C) Why isn't kerio using one of the other 7 processors?

Any help would be most apreciated.
