This message is only a warning that Sophos engine should be updated. Sophos database updates work fine, are up-to-date and protect the mailboxes with latest virus definitions.
Update of Sophos engine is scheduled for next weeks and will be automatically deployed on all Kerio Connect 7.2.x and higher installations.

Pavel,

Interesting response. Can you explain to me then why the Kerio Connect servers the multiple Kerio support engineers had access to have newer engines already installed? One was at 3.28 and one at 3.3 yet all of mine are only at 3.27? The KC 7.4.0 install with the 3.3 engine is the Kerio corporate mailserver in San Jose.

Our internal servers are used for testing of Sophos engine updates before we release them to the public.

Hello,

Pavel Dobry (Kerio) has already explained the key facts: "Sophos database updates work fine, are up-to-date and protect the mailboxes with latest virus definitions."

Here is the background information and story for the curious:

Sophos keeps up-to-date virus definitions for several engine versions. Thus even though you get an older engine than some of our servers, you get the same protection.

We've been staying with the 3.27 engine in order to give Kerio Connect 7.1's users enough time for upgrade, because Kerio Connect 7.1.X can't upgrade to a newer engine. As the 3.27 engine's end-of-life is approaching, it unfortunately started logging the confusing message to the Security log. However, when you check the Antivirus page in your administration, you will see that the database is still receiving updates.

Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience.
