As I posted in an earlier post (that no one has replied to), I am having problems with one users Calendar folder (Outlook 2007 for Windows) not syncing correctly.

I tried resetting the sync on the calendar folder through the Calendar properties/Folder Synchronization tab.

Nothing appears to happen, and the calendar is still incorrect.

Does re-sync work on the calendar folder?

What if I just turn off sync on this folder? Will I get the server contents of the calendar or whatever incorrect data is already in the cache?

Resetting synchronization should work in any folder. Nevertheless it doesn't remove cached content and download again. It just makes Outlook Connector to check if all messages are synchronized. In large folders it can take some time before it takes effect.
