Prior to the 7.4 update, users were able to add another user to the 'People I am a delegate for' section of the Delegates tab under Accounts->Advanced. They can still do that, but when they go to send an email as that user, an error message comes up saying 'user1@domain.comis not allowed to send messages on behalf of' the error code returned is -19722. In previous releases of KC, user2@domain would get an email asking that user1<_at_>domain be granted this right and once confirmed, all was well. That no longer seems to happen.

Has anyone else seen this and/or found a work around? Is there a way to manually grant delegation rights on the server? We have several under-secretaries who need to send messages on behalf of our executive office. I have them using Webmail to do this (sharing passwords and all that evil stuff). There must be a better solution than this!

edit: this is happening in Outlook 2011 for Mac

The same occurs at several other servers with 7.4 and Outlook 2011 for mac. Apple Mail works well.

This bug/feature/behaviour has been fixed in Kerio Connect 7.4.0 - see s-in-7-2-beta-6-unwanted-side-effect-/

If you need enable it again in 7.4 and newer, you can do it in mailserver.cfg
1. stop Kerio Connect
2. open file mailserver.cfg
3. in table EWS find variable AllowUnauthorizedSubmission
4. change value "0" to "1"
5. save mailserver.cfg
6. start Kerio Connect
